St. Louis' first and only ranch dressing-themed restaurant is expanding.
Twisted Ranch has announced plans to open an outpost inside Tropical Liqueurs, a bar serving boozy slushies, in The Grove this summer. The restaurant will operate in the counter service-style space inside the bar that was formerly home to Guerrilla Street Food.
Choose from 31 different flavors of ranch, from roasted garlic and cheesy bacon to "Jack the Ripper."
Twisted Ranch originally opened in Soulard in June 2015, offering a full menu of ranch-infused fare like loaded fries, a garlic-ranch burger and pulled pork nachos in addition to 18 housemade ranch varieties. The brand quickly gained national attention thanks to a viral Buzzfeed video, and the restaurant became so popular that owners Chad Allen and Jim Hayden decided to reopen in a new, larger space just a block away last year.
Allen says the menu is still being finalized, but will include many dishes from the flagship Soulard restaurant in addition to new items only available at The Grove location.
Look for frozen cocktails and Filipino fare including smoked fish-sauce pastrami, adobo jerky and a pimento cheese sandwich.
"We truly believe that there’s no food that can’t taste even better with ranch … and not just basic ranch, but ranch in new, unexpected flavors," Allen said in a release. "We’re excited to share this with even more guests at Tropical Liqueurs."
Twisted Ranch plans to open inside Trops sometime this summer.
"We’re excited to partner with such a great St. Louis brand," Tropical Liqueurs co-owner Billy Thompson said in a release. "We have worked with their team on special events over the past few months and our guests have enjoyed everything they have brought to the table."
