Fresh off the St. Louis Blues' Stanley Cup win and just in time for tonight's home opener, Enterprise Center is debuting a new roster of menu items.
The STL Kitchen Menu is bringing back favorite dishes from the Blues' Stanley Cup run last year and also adding several new items that think outside the box of stadium concessions.
Executive chef Daniel Driol and the Enterprise Center culinary team oversaw the development of the new items, particularly ones that embrace St. Louis food and represent the city's culinary community.
If you're headed to a Blues game at the beginning of the season, you'll be able to relive last year's victorious playoffs with the pork steak torta, featuring brined and marinated pork shoulder with adobo BBQ sauce, Tabasco fried onions and pepper jack cheese on a telera roll; a Monte Cristo double dog, with shaved ham, melted Swiss, and horseradish honey mustard on a griddled New England roll; or the Budwesier BBQ beef dip-double, a shaved beef brisket sandwich topped with Budweiser BBQ au jus, fried or grilled onions and giardiniera that's available on either a 7" or 13" hoagie bun. These dishes will be showcased for Wednesday's season opener, but they're only available for a limited time.
"We're bringing these back for the home opener to show homage to our awesome Stanley Cup run," Driol says.
The food truck will be serving up fan favorites like brisket mac 'n' cheese and a grass-fed cheeseburger.
Throughout the rest of the season, the Enterprise Center menu promises big flavor this year. If you're looking for something spicy, try the crispy Cajun chicken Cheddar club sandwich, which you can find outside of portal 61. If you're looking for something a little cheesier, try the Eisenberg-Jalapeño popper gourmet sausage, a smoked jalapeño-Cheddar sausage topped with jalapeño cream cheese, nacho cheese sauce, fried onions and pickled jalapeños. You can find it at portals 8, 36 and 59.
Vegans, vegetarians and those trying to watch their meat intake can find additional options at the stadium this year too. STL Kitchen has introduced a Beyond Meat burger that's available at portals 16 and 58. For a healthy dose of ooey gooey cheese, try the gooey grilled cheese sandwich with melted Gruyere, fontina and sharp white Cheddar at portal 6, or the STL Kitchen Bavarian poutine, pretzel bites topped with mustard gravy and cheese curds, at portal 61. Vegans can eat the new Buffalo cauliflower wrap with peace of mind; it's packed with tempura cauliflower, Buffalo sauce, quinoa, veggies and a vegan ranch sauce.
In addition to their own food offerings, STL Kitchen and the Enterprise Center have paired with several local restaurants to serve fans this year, including the newest addition, Farmtruk. Favorites like Byrd & Barrel, Hi-Pointe Drive-In, Kohn's Kosher, Lion's Choice and Sugarfire Smoke House will also be returning to the concourse.
Fans at the Enterprise Center are expected to consume around 60,000 pretzels, 52,000 jumbo hot dogs and 28,000 chicken tenders over the course of the season, and that doesn't even count all of the dishes listed above. What kind of dent will you make cheering "LGB" this season?
