"This beer tasting festival offers the chance to sample international and craft beers at three different session times over two days. The festival also includes live music, silent auction, food, live brewer and chef demonstrations. Profits from the festival go to Lift For Life Gym." Come try the second spirit in StilL 630's Rare Release Barrel Series. It's the single-barrel Rally Point rye whiskey finished in the barrel that aged local Big O Ginger Liqueur's 2015 Reserve. St. Louis' biggest and best Cinco de Mayo celebration is held on Cherokee Street each year. The festival includes the People’s Joy Parade, a "one-of-a-kind grassroots menagerie of crepe paper float makers, homemade costume fashionistas, marching bands, gigante puppeteers, art cars, bike brigades, and drag queens" in addition to Libre Wrestling, a mechanical bull and tons of authentic Mexican street fare.
Tamm Avenue's Kentucky Derby party will feature a Kentucky Hot Brown on special, Mint Julep specials, happy hour bucket prices and of course, the race on TV. Dress in your Derby best and the best-dressed will win free happy hours. From 12pm to close. Admission is free.
Spend the weekend touring Hermann's best wineries plus some bacon-focused food pairings. Adam Puchta Winery is pairing its Desire with a carmelized onion, bacon and spinach pizza; Bias Winery pairs its Jubilee White with a bacon and spinache quiche. At Dierberg Star Lane Vineyards, try the Chardonnay with a bacon-Cheddar scone. Hermannhof Vineyards pairs its Vidal Blanc with loaded potato and bacon bread, while OakGlenn Winery has a bacon-apple sandwich paired with its blush. Robller is offering Vidal Blanc with a bacon, cheese and chive drop biscuit with bacon-honey butter, and Stone Hill has BLT bruschetta paired with its Rose Montaigne. Kick off patio season at Edibles & Essentials with a pig roast and the Kentucky Derby. There will be a special menu available and adult beverages, plus the Derby on TVs and live music from Bill Reiter of The Urge and El Monstero. From 3pm to close. Admission is free.

The menu will be Derby Bourbon Shrimp, Crusted Brie Delight, chorizo and tasso risotto bites, Manchego gougeres with piquillo sauce and caper-crusted Ahi tuna with toast points. For cocktails, sip on the Front Runner, with sparkling rose, Peychaud bitters and a sugar cube; a Mint Julep with Maker's Mark 46, mint and sugar; the At the Gate with Tito's vodka, simple syrup, St-Germain, lime and mint; or the Breaking Away, with Evan Williams, simple syrup, peach schnapps, lemon juice and peaches.
