"Benefiting Lift for Life Gym, the 2018 St. Louis Microfest is a two-day beer-tasting festival of international and craft offerings, with more than 125 breweries pouring more than 600 beers. With three different sessions available, each Microfest ticket includes a commemorative tasting glass, access to restaurant and brewery demonstrations, and live music. Food will be available for purchase from several local food vendors. The VIP experience includes unlimited tastings of limited releases, rare craft beers and special releases not available to the general public from both local and national breweries – all in a private tent. On Friday evening, for its Star Wars theme, you'll be treated to a one-plate dinner from Iron Barley. "The 4th Annual Maplewood Stringfest is Friday, May 4. We are pleased to bring you an array of talented musicians all performing acoustic music on the streets of historic downtown Maplewood. Participating food and drink venues include: Mauhaus, which will have a stand outside the cafe where it will sell their cold brew and hot chocolate alongside spicy back bean samosas, strawberry macarons, and s'mores PopTarts; The Muddled Pig Gastropub, which will be open regular hours with their regular menu with a food special and a drink special; Saratoga Lanes, which will have an open house, selling 16-ounce aluminum bottles of Bud, Bud Select and Bud Light, plus $4 24-ounce Pin Bottles of Saratoga's special Hurricanes; Maya Cafe, which will have a Margarita Cart and food tent selling empanadas and street tacos storefront, with inside happy hour till 7pm and food specials all night; Pie Oh My, which will be selling pie slices and squares; The Blue Duck, will have the bluegrass band Woodshine playing inside the restaurant from 7 to 9pm; Schlafly Bottleworks, which will have live music outside with Gary Hunt and Dustin Greer and of course, beer; The Benevolent King, which will have business as usual but feel free to take a seat on their wonderful patio and grab one of the many delicious signature cocktails; Kakao Chocolate, which has special Star Wars chocolates for May 4; Tapped, which will offer 20 percent off select beers and wine; Foundation Grounds Coffeehouse, which will host open mic night from 6 to 9pm, and look for food and drink specials; Larder & Cupboard, which will be selling beverages street-side, as well as hosting an open house in-store highlighting exciting new products; Vom Fass St. Louis, which will offer a wine and sangria tasting, plus a special Vom Fass cocktail and be selling wine and shots by the glass; Boardwalk Waffles & Ice Cream, which will have an open house; The Crow's Nest, whichwill be serving drinks out front including 4 Hands draft beer, jello shots, and Rum Dumpsters (coconut and white rum, with orange, cranberry and pineapple juices); and Boogaloo, which will be featuring both food and drink specials inside as well as specialty cocktails out front." "An annual tradition, with a long history, Cinco De Mayo: A Cherokee Street Festival has evolved into a celebration of community and one of the largest and most diverse festivals in the St. Louis area. The 2018 Cinco De Mayo festival will take place between Nebraska and Jefferson. The festival will pack Cherokee Street with people enjoying authentic food, drinks, music, entertainment. We strive to support as many artists as possible through this event, focusing on diverse talent that reflects the attendees and multicultural backgrounds of the artists and residents that are a part of this community. "The city of Clayton, Missouri, is excited to host the second-annual Battle of the Badges BBQ on the evening of Sat., May 5 to benefit The Backstoppers and Responder Rescue. Competing teams will serve 2-ounce samples of barbecue pork butts, chicken and ribs. Weber Grill Restaurant will serve side dishes.
