Downtown St. Louis is now home to its first food hall.

In late January, The Eatery opened for business on the ground floor of One Metropolitan Square. The 10,000-square foot space underwent a $2.5 million renovation and now features three fast-casual restaurants: Kimcheese, Dino's Deli and Arista Gourmet.

Kimcheese, which also operates a brick-and-mortar location in Chesterfield, serves an Asian fusion menu including tacos, burritos, burgers, quesadillas and rice bowls. Diners can customize their selection with proteins including spicy pork, rib-eye, chicken, kimchi pork belly, tempura fish or tofu and avocado, then add sauces including spicy Korean barbecue, teriyaki, Sriracha, spicy mayo or salsa.

At Dino's Deli, which also has locations in Maryland Heights and Westport Plaza, look for a Greek-inspired menu of sub sandwiches, gyros, wraps and pita pizzas. Specialties include spanakopita, a meatball sub and a classic Greek gyro with tomatoes, red onions and Dino's family recipe tzatziki sauce.

Newcomer Arista Gourmet focuses primarily on salads and paninis. Choose from seasonal citrus salads like the Farmhouse Chicken with avocado, bacon, tomato, croutons, Mandarin oranges, roasted pepitas and shaved cheese with housemade Parmesan-peppercorn dressing; or three variations of Caesar salads (traditional, grilled chicken or salmon.

Rick Spector, senior vice president of retail brokerage with JLL, the property management company for One Met Square, says two more vendors are slated to open in the food hall within the next few months. Although The Eatery is currently only open weekdays, Spector says they've already received several requests to add dinner service, as well as weekend hours.

The Eatery is currently open Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm.
