Fans of Shatto Milk Co.’s fantastically flavored milks now have another delicious way to enjoy them.

In addition to the selection of flavored Shatto Milk found in the dairy case at your local grocery store, the Shatto family has introduced new premium Shatto Milk Flavorizers. These powders pack the same punch as the company's flavored milk; you can mix them into any milk, nut milks, coffee, smoothies or milkshakes.

Packaged in colorful tin containers, each can holds 12 ounces of Flavorizers powder and costs $12. They come in the same popular flavors that Shatto uses in its own flavored milk. To start, strawberry, cinnamon roll, orange dream, vanilla and blueberry are on offer; if they do well, more flavors are could follow based on demand.

Owner Barb Shatto says this new product line is a direct result of customer requests. “Customers have been asking for additional fun flavors to be available year-round,” she explains. “This product line will allow that to happen, and it also [gives] customers the ability to make their favorite Shatto flavor using Shatto skim, 1 percent, 2 percent or whole milk, whereas we only make our flavored milk in whole and 2 percent.”

The Shatto family began delivering fresh milk in old-fashioned glass bottles from their family farm in Osborn, Missouri, to select supermarkets in June 2003. After rave reviews, they soon expanded their product line to include ice cream, butter and cheese, followed by a series of flavored milks that have developed their own following. Going beyond just chocolate and strawberry milk, the family has experimented with more unconventional flavors like cotton candy, banana, root beer, orange cream, cookies 'n’ cream and more.

The Shattos followed up their supermarket success by launching Shatto home delivery service, where customers can order Shatto milk and other local products online and have them delivered to their front door.

“[The Flavorizers] are one of the first products that we can also ship outside of Kansas City, so those that might live outside of the area that want a bit of Shatto milk in their lives can have a can shipped to them,” Shatto says.
