Stockyards Brewing Co. Presents The BIG Chill

"A strong beer and chili tasting. A beer fest featuring 1 or 2 strong beers from local and regional breweries. Breweries also provide a special chili made with one of their featured strong beers. Sometime in 2010 Micah Weichert and Cris Morgan began planning the 1st annual BIG Chill, Strong Beer and Chili Tasting at 75th Street Brewery. Pat Sandman carried the torch for the last couple years of the fest's life at 75th Street. Since its conception in 2011, The BIG Chill has set itself apart as one of the more unique and exclusive beer festivals in the Kansas City area. After its triumphant return in 2017, The BIG Chill is back in the Historic West Bottoms and will once again be hosted by Stockyards Brewing Co. on Saturday, January 26th, 2019." From 1 to 4pm. Cozy Winter Flowers at The Fontaine

"Join the lead designer at D&R Flowers for a fun winter floral arranging workshop. Sip wine and catch up with friends after the holidays in Solarium Lounge at The Fontaine while you learn how to create your own lush arrangement. In this workshop, you will learn the mechanics of creating a beautiful seasonal floral arrangement in a cute wooden box. You will receive instructions along with hands on demonstrations, as well as guide and tips as you work on your design. Workshop tickets include all materials to be used in the class and vase/arrangement to take home in addition to complimentary house wine and cheese board. Grab your friends and come design with us. Celebrate Australia Day in style at Banksia Bakehouse, Kansas City's first Australian café. The event includes games of two-up, Aussie music, a prize for the best Aussie outfit, a welcome drink and, of course, plenty of meat pies, sausage rolls, Australian lamb cutlets, pavlova and Lamingtons. Wines of Burgundy Class at Cellar Rat Wine Merchants

"We will taste through the various sub-regions of Burgundy, sampling both whites and reds. As the home to both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, these will be our primary focus with an emphasis on showing how the terrior changes the wine from sub-region to sub-region.
