Cooking with Herbs Demo at Lidia's Kansas City

"Join Lidia's Executive Chef Cody Hogan for a cooking with herbs demo, where you'll learn tips and tricks how to cook with fresh herbs. The Kansas City Food Circle is going to provide a farmer to sell herbs out on the patio as well! The menu includes an antipasti platter (Herb Frittata Roll Up; Zucchini, Herb and Rice Crostata with Herb Salad and Shrimp in Herbed Bread Crumbs), pasta trio with herbs (Nettle Ravioli in Marjoram Butter; Gnocchi Sage Butter and Spaghetti with Trapanese Pesto and dessert (Blueberry Lavender Ice Cream)." Patio Party - Celebrating 1 Year of Tribe Street Kitchen

"TRIBE IS TURNING 1 + YOU'RE INVITED to help us celebrate a fun and successful first year with a southern-style patio party + the official release of our latest custom brew. Kick off patio season right with an all you can eat crawfish boil, all night happy hour, live entertainment + exclusive beer toast featuring the very first taste of our NEW MEXICALI ALE!" Enjoy a buffet of spring asparagus-goat cheese crostini drizzled with local honey, crab-avocado deviled eggs, Boursin-blue savory cheesecake with fresh spring herbs, open-faced caprese tea sandwiches, fresh berry tartlets, flower sugar cookies, chocolate cups with chocolate mousse and a trio of French macarons (lemon, lavender and raspberry). Beverages include an assortment of herbal teas and your choice of raspberry sparkler with sparkling wine or a non-alcoholic option. Tickets are $15 for children and $30 for adults. This month’s mixology series serves as an introduction to the history, composition and taste profile of Derby Day Cocktails. Four signature specials headline the class: The Mint Julep, The Seelbach, The Crown of Roses and for the straight shooters among us... Bourbon. Not only will you discover the history and fun stories behind Derby Day Cocktails, but you'll learn how to craft your own! And what kind of Southern hospitality would we be showing if we didn't offer taste tests to our guests Taking the class is a no brainer – but deciding which over-the-top floppy hat to wear to the event? Martini Corner Whiskey Fest

"Come enjoy twelve whiskey tastings including two small cocktails crafted by some amazing distilleries.The event check-in will be at Sol Cantina, located in Martini Corner. The participating venues are Sol Cantina and Brick House. There will be 8-10 varieties of whiskeys that you will learn about and experience the taste of.
