Crown Valley Brewing and Distilling Co.'s Plowboy Porter was awarded Best of Show in the 2011 Savannah Craft Brew Festival. This fourth annual event featured 48 of some of the best craft breweries from across the nation including New Belgium, Samuel Adams, Dogfish Head and Abita. This was Crown Valley's first year participating in the event.
The Plowboy Porter is full-bodied and rich in color with heavy coffee flavors and delicate hints of licorice. The beer was brewed using generous amounts of chocolate malt. The Plowboy Porter is available in 10 states and by 2013, Crown Valley hopes to have their brews available in 13 states across the U.S.

Founded in 2008 by Joe and Loretta Scott and Bryan Siddle, who is director of operations, Crown Valley Brewing and Distilling Co. brews Farmhouse Lager, Wooden Nickel IPA and Big Bison Ale. Crown Valley Brewing and Distilling Co. currently services over 800 distribution outlets in the Midwest and employs 150 people throughout Missouri and Illinois.
