Huge congrats are in order for two Missouri producers.
The winners of the 2016 Good Food Awards were announced Fri., Jan. 15, and Kansas City Canning Co. and Columbia's Patric Chocolate both took home top honors.
This year, judges whittled down 1,937 entries from all across the country, resulting in 176 winners. Entries were put through intensive trials to ensure they met Good Food's requirements of authenticity, responsibility and sustainability requirements – these are products that are not only tasty, but also responsibly produced.
Patric Chocolate won for its Triple Ginger, Browned Butter Bar and Red Coconut Curry bars in the chocolate category. Kansas City Canning Co. won for its Apple Caraway Shrub in the spirits category.
