Let the festivities begin! Renovations to the Barn at Chaumette are complete, and the Ste. Genevieve winery is opening the space to the public with the launch of its Five First Fridays on Fri., June 1.
The entertaining and casual evenings of live music, dancing, food and drinks will run through October on the following Fridays: June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7 and October 5.
Executive chef Adam Lambay will offer appetizers, such as nachos and wings; pork burgers; sliders and pizzas from the winery’s new pizza oven. Chaumette wines, Charleville micro-brewed beer and domestic beers will be available as well. Live music from regional musicians will round out the event, with Stonewall from Farmington, Mo., performing on Fri., June 1.
Nestled lakeside at the southern end of the property, the barn offers a gorgeous view of Chaumette's corner of Missouri's wine country. Winery owners have already hosted two private events in the space and have opened it up for weddings as well.
