Tucanos Brazilian Grill is scheduled to make its Midwestern debut in February with a new location in St. Charles, Mo. -- marking its seventh restaurant nationwide.
In preparation for the Wed., Feb. 13, opening, Tucanos is hosting a job fair on Thu., Jan. 17, between 9am and 6pm for personal interviews at the restaurant, located at 1520 South 5th Street.
Tucanos is now taking applications for all positions online at tucanos.com/employment/application.php or in-person at the restaurant.
Tucanos is an experiential dining destination that combines the unique serving style of the traditional Brazilian grilling, referred to as “churrasco” (shoe-HAS-ko) – an exhibition-style meal surrounded by flames and colors, with the flair and festivity of the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. The cuisine features specially seasoned or marinated meats and vegetables (nearly 20 varieties), grilled and then served hot off the skewers at each table until the guest’s appetite is fully gratified.

The restaurant will seat some 216 patrons, plus 40 more when the patio is open. A custom bar and outdoor patio will create an open-air environment.
Founded in 2000, Tucanos Brazilian Grill had its genesis after Steve Oldham spent time in Brazil on work assignments when he was with PepsiCo’s International Restaurant group. He was so enthralled with the culture, flavors and energy of Brazilian dining that it inspired him to create the first Tucanos Brazilian Grill in Provo, Utah when he returned to his home in the United States. The award-winning restaurant currently has five western locations – Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah; Boise, Idaho; Albuquerque, N.M.; and Colorado Springs, Colo.; as well an eastern location in Newport News, Va.
