Starting with tonight's Ram's home game, Charleville Vineyard & Microbrewery's Tornado Alley Amber will be on tap at the Edward Jones Dome.
The winery/brewery's flagship craft beer will be available in sections 313 and 340 tomorrow and every home game through the remainder of the season.
The opportunity came to Charleville by way of its distributor, Summit Distributing, and it was one that was too good to pass up, says Tait Russell, Charleville's director of sales and marketing.
“This is our first opportunity to be in any kind of major venue such as the Dome or Busch Stadium or Scottrade,” Russell says.
Charleville has been brewing beer for 10 years, and Half Wit Wheat, Hoptimistic IPA and Tornado Alley Amber Ale are its three core offerings.
The decision to go with Tornado Alley for the Edward Jones Dome was partly based on the existing selection (there was already a wheat on tap) and also on the overall popularity of the amber beer (it's widely available throughout the St. Louis region and one of Charleville's best draft sellers).
"It's great exposure and a welcome opportunity," Russell says.
