Exciting news: Feast Magazine has been nominated for two editorial and design awards!
Folio:'s annual Eddie & Ozzie awards recognize "excellence in uncompromising journalism and gorgeous design across all sectors of the publishing industry." This year's finalists were narrowed down from more than 2,500 entries to reveal, in the organization's words, the "crème de la crème of content creators and designers."
For the Eddies, "Flour Power" is nominated for best Single Article in the Consumer: Epicurean category. Written by editor-in-chief Liz Miller, this longform feature explores the heirloom and hybrid grain varieties grown at The Mill at Janie's Farm in Ashkum, Illinois.
On the design side, Feast's redesign, which launched with the January 2019 issue, is nominated in the Redesign category. In addition to refreshed fonts, updated layouts and a new page size, the redesign incorporated more voices from around the region into the magazine and broadened our home cooking and recipe content.
Winners and honorable mentions will be announced at Folio's annual gala on Oct. 30 in New York City. You can view the full list of finalists here.
Congratulations to all the finalists!
