The Feed: Kilgus Farmstead's Milk Now Available in Missouri

Kilgus Farmstead

Vesterbrook Farm of Clarksville, Mo., has partnered with Kilgus Farmstead of Fairbury, Il., to bring Kilgus' milk to the St. Louis area, which until now has only been available in Illinois.

Mike Brabo, owner of Vesterbrook Farm, says it's pretty good stuff. For example, Chicago Magazine voted Kilgus Best Milk in Chicago in 2010.

"That says a lot, to beat Oberweis in their own hometown," he says.

Local Harvest Grocery and Winslow's Home will be the first area stores carrying the milk, and Brabo says he's talking to other interested local retailers, including Maude's Market and Sappington Farmers Market.

Brabo says he'll also be bringing Kilgus' pork and goat meat to St. Louis in the next month or so. For more info, contact Brabo at 573.560.0871.
