Brennan's has announced that it has found a new home in the Central West End, and regulars won't have to travel too far from the original Maryland Avenue location to enjoy it.
According to a press release, Brennan's will relocate to a new space on at 314-316 N. Euclid Ave. The new location will be in the same building, just around the corner from the current spot. Brennan's announced in December that it would close it's current location as the next door Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis expands.
“I just did the walk. It’s literally 45 steps and 28 seconds from the old location,” owner Kevin Brennan said in the release. “I was walking cautiously, too, due to the slippery conditions from the snow, so imagine if you run!”
The new Brennan's will have double the square footage on it's ground floor, a bar and lounge in the basement and a private cigar club on the second floor. Brennan's will also make updates to its menu and bar program, but no drastic changes are expected.
The new location is slated to open in late spring, with the cigar club opening shortly after. In the meantime, Brennan's will remain open on Maryland Avenue until at least April 15 in anticipation of the move, so longtime fans still have time to have one last drink at the original bar.
“We’ll miss the original spot, but we’re excited to show people a new and improved space,” says Brennan. “You have to keep things interesting.”
