Utah Station Smash Burger

Utah Smash Burger with a vegan patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and "cheese" on a sesame seed bun.

Utah Station debuted in St. Louis last year, proving that vegan food doesn't have to be just fruits and vegetables. From smash burgers to toasted ravioli to pizza, the Benton Park spot specializes in plant-based takes on junk food.

For a true taste of Utah Station, opt for the signature Utah Smash Burger, which is available with either one or two meatless patties, with a small upcharge for the latter. The burger comes topped with your choice of vegan cheese, American or pepperjack, then finished with the classics: lettuce, tomato and onion. It's all served on a toasted potato bun that holds it together.

Sides include fries and sweet potato fries, as well as a lactose-free version of coleslaw. You can also spring for "cheeze" fries, AKA the house fries smothered in vegan cheese, jalapeños, vegan sour cream and green onions.

Meat-eaters can rest easy knowing that Utah Station does offer a few non-vegan items such as a grass-fed beef burger and a BLT, but the menu gives all diners the opportunity to enjoy an indulgent yet sustainable meal.

Utah Station is offering its menu for takeout, limited dine-in service and patio service.
