This month featured a few firsts: Prioritized Pastries, St. Louis' first exclusively vegan and gluten-free bakery, and Open Concept, a bar where guests pay not by the drink but by the hour. Also on the openings front, several restaurants spun off new locations, including Sauce on the Side, Sugarfire Smoke House and Twisted Ranch, which now operates a walk-up window inside Tropical Liqueurs in The Grove.
Unfortunately, a few concepts shut their doors, including Oaked in Soulard, both locations of the fast-casual Tazé Mediterranean Street Food as well as Rhone Rum Bar, which will be transitioning to focus on happy hour service and private events. U City favorite Winslow's Home also closed this month, but it's not all bad news – Michael and Tara Gallina of the critically acclaimed Vicia plan to reconcept the restaurant, reopening it as Winslow's Table next month.
