Elmwood, the acclaimed Maplewood, Missouri, restaurant from industry pros Adam Altnether and Chris Kelling, is bringing its menu curbside.
The rotating list of offerings includes some highlights from the regular menu like the burger, pork steak sandwich and sweet potato baba ghanoush. But if you want to make things easy, opt for Elmwood's new Dinner for Two package, which is a steal at just $40.
Start by selecting a main, including short ribs, chicken (with your choice of seasoning, like jerk rub, lemon-pepper or hot fried chicken) or the pasta of the day. Then, choose one salad (either mixed greens or our favorite, the grilled broccoli Caesar with dill, shallots and breadcrumbs) and a hot vegetable side (like crispy twice-fried potatoes or coal-roasted carrots).
Of course, a meal at Elmwood isn't the same without a glass of wine or a cocktail and luckily, both are available on the curbside menu as well. Choose from Kelling's standout list of bottles (including a hard-to-find Semillon from Little Frances) and bottled cocktails prepared by bar director Dave Greteman. The 750-ml bottles, which offer about six servings, range from classics like a Manhattan and Negroni to a pink peppercorn-apple punch.
Orders can be placed by phone or online starting at 3pm. Simply park outside the restaurant on Sutton Boulevard and text the restaurant when you arrive. When your meal is ready, you'll receive a text; the meal will be waiting for you in in a bag with your name on it on a table in the vestibule outside the restaurant's front door.
