"She said, 'I do'. To celebrate our head brewers nuptial, his wife snuck into the brewery and collaborated with the rest of the brew team in secret to make this delicious beer! Join us at Alpha on January 17th as we tap our highly-anticipated I Do Brew: released once-a-year on the anniversary of our Head Brewer, Derrick, and his wife, Danielle, and brewed entirely by Danielle herself! This Belgian-style Tripel is brewed with orange peel and coriander and is a traditional wedding beer served in Northern Europe. I Do Brew clocks in at a big 9% ABV but is a sweet and fruity easy-drinker. This year, to celebrate, we've partnered with our friends at StilL 630 Distillery, who have distilled I Do Brew to create a limited-run I Do Brew whiskey! This whiskey was distilled in the Spring of 2018 and has been aging for 18 months in #3 charred oak barrels. The whiskey retains many of the qualities of the beer, with a strong aroma of butterscotch and caramel as well as notes of banana and clove. The barrel gives the whiskey a smooth, round flavor and adds a touch of vanilla. I Do Brew by StilL 630 will be available to sip at the Alpha Taproom beginning January 17th!" From noon to 11:30pm.

"The Eighteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution established the prohibition of alcohol in the U.S. Enforcement of the new law started on January 17, 1920. On Friday, January 17, 2020, St. Louis Public Radio will recognize the 100th anniversary of Prohibition by diving into St. Louis’ rich Prohibition-era history. Join “St. Louis on the Air” host Sarah Fenske and a panel of historians for an evening of great conversation and delicious brews. They’ll describe the time robbers siphoned off 3,000 barrels of whiskey from the Jack Daniels distillery, replacing them with vinegar in the middle of the night. We’ll learn how Anheuser-Busch survived more than a decade of a nationwide ban on alcoholic beverages. And, we’ll recall the tale of a 1922 New Year’s Eve party at the Chase Hotel when an enforcement raid led to plates being thrown, shots being fired, and pandemonium spilling out onto Lindell Boulevard."
