Six Mile Bridge Beer Owners

Co-owners Lindsay and Ryan Sherring are expanding Six Mile Bridge.

Six Mile Bridge is getting bigger in 2020.

Last week, the brewery broke ground on a neighboring expansion to its Maryland Heights space. The expansion will include a kitchen, plus more brewing space and more taproom space, bringing the taproom's seating from 50 to about 120 seats. It will also have an outdoor patio, which will give Six Mile outdoor seating for the first time, and the brewery will now be able to accommodate private events.

Co-owner Lindsay Sherring says the expansion came a little bit sooner than she and her husband and co-owner Ryan Sherring expected. The space in their multitenant building became available, and they decided to jump on it before someone else could – but the expansion and addition of a kitchen has always been a part of their long-term plan.

Sherring says that the plan for the kitchen's cuisine is "upscale gastropub," and that the brewery plans to announce the name of the chef at a later date.

There is no set date for the opening of the expansion and the launch of the kitchen, but the current goal is early 2020.
