Now boasting four locations, Mission Taco Joint has become a staple for both food and drinks in the St. Louis area. The popular California-inspired Mexican restaurant has since spread to Kansas City with two locations, and continues to serve up creative tacos and refreshing cocktails.

During the COVID-19 crisis, two locations are temporarily closed – in the Crossroads in Kansas City and in St. Louis' Central West End – but you can still get curbside pickup or delivery in both cities. Our suggestion? Feed the whole gang with a family taco kit, and consider a Margarita kit to wash it all down.

Each family taco kit is intended to feel four folks, and comes with everything to build your ideal taco. Choose two proteins from options like shredded pork, shredded beef or chorizo, or make it vegetarian with portabella mushrooms or vegan taco meat. Choose two sides (rice, beans or corn) and pick whether you want 16 flour tortillas, corn tortillas or half and half. For toppings, Mission Taco Joint will send you home with pico de gallo, queso fresco, sour cream, salsa de arbol, shredded lettuce and pickled onions. Chips and salsa are also included to turn dinner into a full feast.

Due to Missouri liquor laws, Mission Taco Joint can't sell its signature Margaritas to-go, but the restaurant is selling a kit to make them from the comfort of your own home. The $80 Margarita kit includes a half gallon of Mission Taco Joint's own Margarita mix, along with one liter of Una Vida Tequila, which has recently produced a private label tequila just for the restaurant. Looking for something a little different? Mission Taco is also serving a well-rounded beer list to-go; just make sure you have your ID with you when you are picking up your food.

Orders can be placed online for both curbside pickup and delivery.
