The Grove has a new fusion restaurant.
Korean-Mexican street food chain Seoul Taco opens its seventh location on Jan. 22 in The Grove. While the restaurant has locations in the Delmar Loop and Chesterfield, this is the first in the city of St. Louis. Seoul Taco also a location in Columbia, Missouri, and three in Illinois.
Seoul Taco serves dishes like bulgogi steak tacos with salad mix, green onion and "Seoul sauce," and gogi and waffles, featuring a bed of sweet potatoes piled with a choice of protein, kimchi, sesame seeds, green onion, queso and Seoul sauce.
“St. Louis is an important part of Seoul Taco’s brand DNA,” chef-owner David Choi said in a release. “Our team is incredibly proud to be part of a community that has supported us since we began as a food truck, up to today’s opening of our first city location. We are excited to join The Grove neighborhood, which embodies the spirit and growth of the city.”
The new location features murals, art installations and a selection of hip-hop music, similar to other locations. It also has indoor, patio-inspired seating with string lights and elevated bench seating.
Editor's note: This post has been updated to clarify that this location does not have outdoor patio seating, only patio-inspired indoor seating.
