Celebrate Oktoberfest in Soulard or Maplewood, eat vegan pizza or party at a pig roast this weekend.
"Oktoberfest at Soulard Market returns October 11-12, 2019! The annual event is organized by Soulard Business Association and celebrates both the city's and neighborhood's German heritage through two days of food, drink, live music and entertainment. 2019 will feature an open-air plaza, wine garden, seven bands (including Grammy award-winning Brave Combo and fan favorite Deutschmeister Brass Band), axe throwing activities, stein holding competitions (hosted by We Are Live), and the return of OkTUBAfest (with St. Louis Low Brass Collective). Entry is FREE. Beer (from Anheuser-Busch Brewery including Goose Island Oktoberfest, Breckenridge Oktoberfest and Elysian Night Owl pumpkin ale), wine (from Stone Hill Winery), spirits (from Jägermeister) and food (from Soulard Farmers Market's Bierman Sweet Corn) will be available for purchase." Friday from 4 to 11pm and Saturday from 11am to 10pm.

"Agustin and wife Valeria Huneeus founded the Quintessa estate in the renowned Rutherford District of Napa Valley in 1990 and after years of running global wine companies, and established a family portfolio of wines that represent some of the finest vineyard estates, appellations and wines in both North and South America. Alicia Pappas, Regional Manager of Huneeus Vintners, will join us for a full day of wine events."
