Trattoria Marcella has long been a favorite in St. Louis, but West County fans of the popular Lindenwood Park restaurant can also get a taste of its comforting Italian fare at its sister restaurant, Marcella's Mia Sorella.
In Ballwin, the more casual, family-friendly restaurant specializes in brick-oven pizzas, salads and classic entrées, but, as at Trattoria Marcella, the housemade pastas are a particular standout. The curbside menu includes classics like spaghetti and meatballs with San Marzano tomato sauce and housemade meatballs and and lasagna al forno with fine layers of pasta, cheese and sausage ragù, as well as a braised beef tortellini with prosciutto, peas, mushrooms and Parmesan cream sauce.
Round out your meal with an order of crispy tomato-basil arancini served with lemon-basil aïoli or a shaved Brussels salad with peppered bacon, toasted almonds, Gorgonzola cheese and Green Goddess dressing.
And don't forget the drinks: Mia Sorella is offering a handful of batched cocktails that come mixed and ready to pour over ice, including a barrel-aged Manhattan, Sicilian Martini and Margarita. You can also opt for a bottle of wine, ranging from Chardonnay to Chianti to Cab.
Mia Sorella is offering online ordering for carryout as well as limited dine-in and patio seating.
