If you've missed the famous ribs from Bogart's Smokehouse, you're in luck: The acclaimed Soulard barbecue joint, which temporarily closed its doors in late March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will begin offering a limited menu for pickup this week.
Co-owner Niki Puto announced that a few favorites from the Bogart's menu will now be available for online ordering with no-contact curbside pickup on Saturdays only between noon and 4pm. Orders must be placed by noon on Thursday.
"We cook fresh daily and do not reheat our meats which is why we are initially starting with Saturday only pickup," co-owner Michael Macch said in a statement. "We are asking customers to place their orders each week by 12pm on Thursday. This will allow us to manage inventory so we can cook to order for those Saturday pickups, minimizing any potential waste."
The limited menu available for curbside pickup includes:
- Four EZ Carryout Combos (a variety of combos including ribs, meats and sides)
- Ribs by the slab
- Pulled pork, ham, turkey and brisket by the pound
- Whole pork butts, bacon-wrapped hams and turkey breasts
- Bogart’s pit beans, sweet and sour slaw, applesauce and Fire & Ice Pickles by the quart
- Sweet tea by the gallon and sandwich buns by the dozen
In addition to those menu items, Bogart’s is also selling its sauces and rubs by the bottle.
"The words of encouragement and support from our customers, locally and nationally, have been overwhelming and we’re excited to start back up with this limited online menu," Puto said. "Our goal is to slowly expand menu options and pick up days over time."
