Get your fix of holiday spirit at Earthbound Beer this Thursday.
Diana Cannon, who moved back to St. Louis for the third time in March, is offering an early taste of her upcoming cocktail concept, Choirgirl, during a cocktail pop up at the Cherokee Street brewery. Cannon has spent years in the hospitality industry, working in hotels and bars around the country and around the world. She's had the Choirgirl idea in her head for the better part of two decades and, despite her travels, has always imagined it in St. Louis.
"It was always very much my desire to come back here," she says.
Since her return, she's been looking for a home for Choirgirl while hosting seasonal pop ups around town. Cannon was hoping to open her own space in time for the holidays, but even a location falling through hasn't stopped her from serving up her wintery cocktails.
"I've always wanted to do a holiday thing," she says.
So, she talked to the folks at Earthbound and the event came together.
Her menu will include five cocktails, such as the Lit Babe, which combines Syrah, spices, citrus and star anise, or the Island Lover, her take on a creamy coquito inspired by the time she spent living in the Caribbean. She will also offer a zero-proof cocktail, called the Glamorous Bitch, which features pomegranate, mint, club soda and lime.
Each alcoholic cocktail will be $8, and the Glamorous Bitch will be just $4.
