February brought spots both new and old back to St. Louis. Steve's Hot Dogs, which closed Feb. 1, and Wellspent Brewing Co., which closed last August, both reopened in their original locations this month after being saved by angel investors. A new sandwich spot, Nomad, also moved into Tamm Avenue Bar, and Takashima Records is now bringing casual Japanese fare to The Grove.
But St. Louis also said goodbye to some favorites: Al's Cafe shut down operations after over 100 years in business in the city. Guerrilla Street Food also closed two of its Filipino-American street food locations, including the original brick-and-mortar store on South Grand.
