Lulu’s Local Eatery

This beloved vegan spot is up for sale.

The future of a favorite South Grand vegan spot is uncertain.

Lulu's Local Eatery has been closed for three months amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and in an Instagram post on Monday, owners Lauren "Lulu" Loomis and Robbie Tucker announced that they would be putting the restaurant up for sale.

"For personal health reasons, we have decided we need to move onto the next chapter in our lives," the post reads.

According to the post, the entire business – including branding, equipment and their signature vegan recipes – are for sale, and the two hope that someone will carry on Lulu's legacy.

"We would love for someone to continue this vision of sustainability that we’ve poured our hearts and souls into," the post reads.

The owners wrote that although selling the restaurant brings them immense sadness, they are also overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to serve their community for eight years.

"Thank you to the talented and caring crew that made it all possible. Thank you to everyone who brought a friend, celebrated a birthday with us, played some ping pong upstairs or enjoyed some buffalo cauliflower bites on the patio," the post reads. "Thank you to all the other South Grand businesses who have created such a vibrant and supportive community."
