Gerard Craft's Niche Food Group is celebrating 10 years of serving up food and drinks in St. Louis with a week of celebrations. The Niche Food Group restaurants include Brasserie, Pastaria, Sardella, Taste, Cinder House and Brasswell.
Through Sunday, Niche restaurants will feature specials, events and a beer release from Rockwell Beer Company to recognize the decade of business. There will also be a series of special events throughout the week to celebrate the anniversary.
The first event is Monday's Brassiversary Dinner, a special tasting menu at Brasserie that will welcome current Niche Food Group chefs, as well as alumni from Niche kitchens, to provide a meal worthy of a ten year celebration. Chefs with include Craft, as well as former executive chef Perry Hendrix (now chef de cuisine at Avec in Chicago), corporate chef Michael Petres, Sardella executive chef Brian Moxey and more. The plates will take diners on a tour of both old and new Brasserie favorites. Tickets are available in the Niche Food Group online store for $150, with an optional $50 for wine pairings. Regular dinner service will not be available.
“We really wanted to celebrate the people that have helped keep our doors open for so long,” said Jennifer Masur, Brasserie’s general manager, in a release. “Brasserie is a really special place for so many of us, and we love that our guests choose us for their important moments and celebrations. I, as well as the rest of the staff at Brasserie, work hard every day to cultivate the unique relationships we have grown within our community as well as with each other.”
Brasserie will also have an invite-only cocktail event Wednesday for loyal friends and guests of the restaurant from 4 to 6:30 p.m., but regular dinner service will resume at 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, head to Taste for a kitchen takeover from former executive chef Matthew Daughaday. Daughaday will be offering some of the most recognizable dishes from his time in the Taste kitchen, including the barbacoa and pork bahn mi. At Taste on Thursday, former bar manager Ted Kilgore, now at Planter's House, will also be serving cocktail favorites from his time behind the bar.
Head back to Taste on Friday for the unveiling of their fall and winter cocktail menu. Expect the creations to warm you up, but also expect some surprises: The bar is working on ways to upcycle kitchen scraps into scrubs and tinctures for the new menu.
If you're a beer-lover, celebrate Niche's 10 years by heading to Brasserie, Sardella or Pastaria to try a dry-hopped blonde ale that Rockwell Beer Co. has brewed specially for the 10 year anniversary. The beer will be available on draft and commemorative 10-year anniversary pints will be available with the purchase of a beer at Brasserie while supplies last.
