Juniper has become a staple of St. Louis' Central West End dining scene, and, thanks to curbside pickup, to-go cocktails and a breakfast pop up, it remained so throughout the pandemic. And while you can't go wrong with most of the dishes on the menu – like the fried catfish po'boy, braised short ribs or fried chicken – we recommend picking up an order of a Southern classic, the shrimp and grits, if you're looking for takeout tonight.
Like most of the dishes at Juniper, the shrimp and grits is made pretty classically but with a refined touch. You'll find the Cajun trinity (onion, bell pepper, celery), andouille, grits, garlic, Cajun spice and, of course, shrimp. Be sure to order a side of a bread basket or the bacon fat fried cornbread to sop up all of the delicious sauce leftover from the meal.
Juniper is offering its menu for carryout, curbside pickup and limited dine-in service.
