Stringbean Coffee Burlap Art Show

Join Stringbean Coffee and 25 local artists to see what they create using the burlap coffee bags that the roaster receives from around the world. The art will be available to purchase and a portion of the money spent will be donated to Cafe Femenino. The art show will be held from 6 to 9pm Friday with live acoustic music and continue from 8:30 to 11:30am Saturday during the once a month open house event. The winner of the art show will be announced Saturday morning.

Pit to Plate BBQ Class & Family Style Feast

Meet award-winning pitmaster David Sandusky (seen on the Food Network) in The Skullery for a full demonstration on preparing his craft barbecue, while enjoying a badass meal. Tower Grove Farmers' Market

As the weather gets colder, be sure to get to the Tower Grove Farmers' Market before it moves inside for the season. Pick up some fresh, local produce or enjoy food and treats made by local restaurants and artisans. Maybe even pick up some autumnal flowers for your home. From 8am to 12:30pm.

Fall Festival at Mission Taco Joint

In honor of National Adoption Month, the Central West End and St. Charles locations of Mission Taco Joint will host family-friendly fall festivals in support of Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition. Free activities (with a suggested donation to benefit the adoption organizations) include a coloring station for kids’ to design their own luchador mask stickers, free fall-themed sugar cookies, face painting and more. From 11am to 2pm.

Trout Catch & Keep Breakfast

Trout fishing returns to Suson Park in November! This year park rangers have something new to offer. Warm up with a hot breakfast while you fish for your trout dinner. A pancake, sausage and egg breakfast will be served at Spindler Shelter from 8:30 to 10:30am. Coffee and hot chocolate will also be served. Children under 5 free, maximum of 3 kids per adult registration. Pre-registration required, call 314.615.8822. Cost is $8 per person.

Dia de los Muertos at Malinche

Head to Malinche in Ellisville, Missouri, for an exquisite dinner honoring the Mexican tradition that reunites the living and the dead. Enjoy a five-course meal and two tequila and mezcal-forward handcrafted cocktails for $60. National Sandwich Day at Snarf's

In celebration of National Sandwich Day on Sunday, family-owned and operated Snarf’s is giving the first 25 customers free Snarf’s T-shirts and other fun sandwich swag at all four St. Louis Snarf’s locations beginning at 11am. In addition to the in-store giveaways, Snarf’s is hosting a contest on its Facebook page Oct. 16 through Nov. 3 where sandwich connoisseurs can design and name their perfect sandwich for a chance to have it featured on the Snarf’s menu for a year. One lucky winner will be selected by the Snarf’s team and will receive free Snarf’s sandwiches for a year. Additional details can be found on the Snarf’s St. Louis Facebook page.

2019 Goulash Festival at Saint John Nepomuk Chapel

It's time for the annual Goulash Festival! Dinners will be served from 11am to 5pm featuring goulash over noodles or a half baked chicken and dressing with side dishes, dessert and coffee or tea included. Soda, Czech and domestic beer, wine and cocktails will be available from the bar. There will be games, raffles and music will be provided by Joe and Anna Polach and Peter Trio. Entrance is $12 for adults and $5 for children. 

Alpha Brewing Chili Cook-Off 2019

Join Alpha Brewing Co. on Sunday for the 2019 Chili Cook-off! The brewery is clearing out the entire barrel house to bring you unlimited samples of unique chilis from local restaurants, live music and Alpha beer! $23 gets you a beer, a porcelain collectible bowl, a metal spoon and all the chili you can eat! Participate in the People's Choice Award and vote for your favorite chili! This event will sell out, so get your tickets ahead of time. Buy your tickets at the bar to avoid service fees!
