Street dining is returning to St. Louis' Central West End neighborhood this weekend.
The Central West End "Streatery" will return on Friday and Saturday nights starting this Fri., May 7. The program allows the neighborhood's restaurants to extend their patios onto Euclid Avenue in order to serve more customers outdoors.
From 5 to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, you'll be able to find some of your favorite restaurants on the street, including Brennan’s, Cocina Latina, Drunken Fish, El Burro Loco, Evangeline’s Bistro, Mission Taco Joint, Pi Pizzeria, Ranoush, Salt + Smoke and Up-Down STL.
“Our small businesses are the lifeblood of the Central West End, and they’re the reason why people love this neighborhood. We launched the Streatery program last summer to help our restaurants and bars endure the COVID-19 pandemic,” Kate Haher, executive director of the CWE Business Community Improvement District, said in a press release. “Thanks to this program, local restaurants are able to safely seat more customers and patrons are able to enjoy a socially distanced dining experience in a comfortable, vibrant setting.”
