After becoming a food truck staple in Springfield, Skully's Ramen has officially opened its own brick-and-mortar shop. The restaurant now offers loaded fries topped with kimchi and queso alongside wings served in either a blackened chile sauce or with a red curry dry rub, but Skully's classic staple is still star of the menu: ramen. If you're looking for takeout in Springfield today, spring for one of Skully's signature ramen bowls.
While the ramen menu isn't expansive, Skully's offers a delicious selection that is sure to fit whatever mood you're in. The aptly named Pork on Pork features smoked pork shoulder, crispy pork belly and chile oil over pickled veggies and noodles served in hot broth. The Chickwick subs the pork for chicken thigh, a soft boiled egg and a garlic-beet oil, and the Shroom N' Fu is the perfect vegetarian option, served with smoked tofu, shiitake mushrooms, dried seaweed and herb oil.
Too hot for you to enjoy ramen? You can also opt for the wok bowl, a combination of stir-fried bok choy, carrot, onion and peas in a Szechuan garlic sauce and served with stir-fried noodles, stir-fried rice or steamed rice. You can also add the protein of your choice for an additional charge.
Skully's Ramen is offering its menu for carryout and patio seating.
