Although its Springfield location opened this past December, Sugarfire Smoke House's newness still hasn't worn off. It's also quickly positioned itself as a go-to southside spot for lunch and dinner alike, with regulars coming in weekly.
This St. Louis-based restaurant serves up barbecue, burgers and fresh salads, but we're here to chat about The Big Muddy. This sandwich features the timeless combination of brisket and sausage with horseradish and sweet sauce for a unique spin.
But you might want to keep a few hand wipes nearby if you plan on heading to a Zoom meeting after your meal. "It's a big messy sandwich, and we love it that way," says executive chef Clint McCann.
The sandwich comes with one side, and McCann suggests the barbecue baked beans for a classic. However, the side menu changes daily, so you can always try it with something new.
