Located on historic Route 66 in Rolla, Missouri, Soda & Scoops is more than a nostalgic spot for phosphates and ice cream sundaes – it’s also a way to support a good cause.
Opened by Jenny and Ted Ruth in 2018, Soda & Scoops offers employment for people with disabilities in the community.
Inside the retro soda shop you’ll find 1940s-inspired accents and décor, alongside menu items named for celebrities of the era. The Lucy Sundae, for example, tops two scoops of ice cream with butterscotch sauce, bananas, marshmallow fluff and a cherry, while the Desi Arnaz Shake blends vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, mixed nuts and a banana.
