From the Westside to South Overland Park, diners looking to try out new restaurants in Kansas City should probably come with an appetite. Comforting fare seems to be the theme, including sweet and savory crêpes in one of the city’s loveliest new Westside locations, po’boys in the Crossroads, Caribbean seafood in Midtown, crispy wings and candy-coated waffles in Westport, and hearty (and boozy) brunch down south. If this is an indication of what is in store for 2020, count us in.
