Room 39 Korean Fried Chicken

Today's family meal is Korean fried chicken.

The team at chef Ted Habiger's Room 39 might be small, but they have proven themselves to be a mighty force during the coronavirus pandemic by keeping their carryout offerings deliciously on point.

Room 39's dining room is now open for dine-in business by reservation only Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm and Sundays from 9am to 3pm with social distancing and safety measures in place. But the restaurant will also continue to offer a wide variety of internationally inspired family meals for four for carryout only on Tuesday through Saturday.

Past meals have included a Surf & Turf deal with four Maryland lump crab cakes with remoulade sauce, grilled and sliced flank steak with chimichurri, French fries, Caesar salad, coleslaw and a pint of ice cream for dessert.

Today, diners can opt for Korean fried chicken wings with sautéed cabbage, Grand River shiitake mushrooms, sugarsnap peas, sticky rice and salad with sesame-ginger dressing, ending with an almond cake with crème anglaise.

Each 4-person family meal from Room 39 is $85 and comes with a $20 bottle of wine thoughtfully selected by the restaurant's sommeliers. If you'd rather skip the wine, you can order just the family meal dinner for $65.

Need more than four servings of any family meal? Simply call the restaurant to place a custom order, and the team at Room 39 will take care of you.
