Snooze, an A.M. Eatery is ready to invite Kansas City in for brunch.

The Denver-based breakfast restaurant will open its first Kansas City location in Westport on Wed., Feb. 5.

Open daily from 6:30am to 2:30pm, Snooze is located next door to Westport Ale House, right on Broadway. The site has been under construction since last summer. Starting from the ground up allowed Snooze the opportunity to build out a custom 4,285-square-foot restaurant that has 171 seats, plus 50 more on a large, dog-friendly outdoor patio.

The restaurant and its team of “Snoozers” (aka employees) opened the original Rocky Mountain location 12 years ago and began expanding into other markets just a few years ago. Now with 41 locations in Colorado, Arizona, California, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia and, soon, Missouri, Snooze says it will consider the possibility of opening a second location in Kansas City.

Snooze is known for its six signature eggs Benedict options, including the fan favorite Smashed Avocado Benny, featuring a signature English muffin split and topped with fresh smashed avocado and green chile, Parmesan, tomatoes, two poached cage-free eggs, smoked Cheddar Hollandaise and everything spice.

To drink, you’ll find coffee, tea and fresh fruit juices, in addition to an impressive variety of mimosas, Bloody Marys and beer-based cocktails. The company also prides itself on serving its own bubbles on tap, which come from a vineyard Snooze owns in Piedmont, Italy.

Pancakes are another Snooze favorite, including the best-selling Pineapple Upside-Down Pancakes. Using all of the flavors found in a pineapple upside down cake, Snooze takes fluffy buttermilk pancakes and tops them with caramelized pineapple chunks, housemade vanilla crème anglaise and cinnamon butter.

Interested in getting a taste of those pancakes? Boulevard Brewing Co.’s Tours & Recreation Center and Beer Hall will be co-hosting bingo with Snooze this Sun., Jan. 19 from 11am to 1pm. Snooze will be serving its Pineapple Upside-Down Pancakes along with its signature Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Brewmosa while the bingo boards are in play. The event is also for a good cause: Snooze and Boulevard will be donating 100 percent of profits from the Pineapple Upside-Down Pancakes and $1 from every Brewmosa to Turn the Page KC, an organization helping children reach their reading goals. There will be free swag and some fun bingo prizes from Snooze and Boulevard, so get your bingo daubers ready to rumble before the Kansas City Chiefs kick-off.

And starting in February, plan to wake your spirit and your senses at this new bright and boozy brunch spot in Westport.
