"VegOut, hosted by VegLife KC, is a monthly plant-based food and drink festival, promoting an accessible and approachable health-oriented and eco- friendly lifestyle. With the increasing success of our largest annual event, VegFest KC, the demand for veg-inspired events in Kansas City is on the rise. This foodie event will meet and continue to grow that demand for the expanding veg-curious community to learn, celebrate, and discover more about the many benefits of a plant-rich lifestyle. Kicking off in August 2019, VegOut will showcase ~10 vendors, offering a variety of plant-based foods, clothing and accessories, handmade craft products, local art, and more. Join us for a fun-filled day of good food, drinks, and entertainment!" From 11am to 7pm. Free admission.

"Join us as we continue the tradition and celebrate local brewers, crafters, and makers at the 11th Annual UNICO Microbrew Festival. Huge thanks to the brewers… Because of their participation and donation, the KC Chapter of UNICO and the Brew Festival are able to award more than $65,000 yearly for local college scholarships and another $25,000 to local charities! Oh, and of course we can’t forget to thank the beer fans who attend!" From 5 to 9pm. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, available here.
"Spend the day sampling tasty made-to-order eats crafted by local food trucks while listening to live music by The M80's and favorite hits from DeeJay Proof. Yes, you can hit up a food truck round up any night of the week, but none offer the entertainment, sheer variety of trucks, and fun, full weekend festival atmosphere of Crossroads Food Truck Fest. We're bringing favorites from around the city to one convenient spot in the heart of Kansas City. Kids under 12 are FREE with a paying adult and can be sure to enjoy face painting and other children geared games. If food trucks and music aren't enough for you, we'll have an array of other activities for people of all ages. Prepare for corn hole, tug of war competitions, and more! Join us on Saturday, August 10th at 5pm for a guaranteed fun time!" Starts at 5pm. Tickets are $10 for general admission or $30 for VIP, available here.
