"Kansas City Diversity Coalition‘s vision for our festival is that of a place where everyone from all backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities can come together to celebrate our diversity as a supportive and loving LGBTQIA+ community. "Mid-Continent Public Library’s KC Food Truck Face-Off will determine the 2019 Rookie Food Truck of the Year. Event attendees will enjoy entrée samples from the five competing food trucks and local breweries, and will cast their votes to pick which first-year food truck operator will be honored. Beginning this Sun., June 2, O’Dowd’s Gastrobar will offer Sunday brunch for the first time in its 20-year history on the Country Club Plaza. Executive chef Mitch Neely has crafted six brunch dishes that will be offered every Sunday from 11am to 2pm. Dishes include eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, stuffed French toast, corned beef hash and more. Brunch cocktails, including Bloody Marys and bottomless mimosas, will also be available.
