"On Saturday, June 8, we are releasing a new bier, Zeller Keller, in a traditional Bavarian barrel tapping at 2:00 p.m. in the Bierhalle by KC Bier Co. head brewer Karlton Graham. A traditional German-Style Kellerbier (unfiltered lager), Zeller Keller is a scaled-up version of a recipe created by KC Biermeisters Homebrew Club members Mike and Stephanie Butler, whose Kellerbier recipe was selected as the winner of this year's KC Biermeisters Homebrew Competition. Our brewers took the spirit of the homebrew recipe and brewed it in our brewhouse with the Butlers in April 2019, using 100% imported German malt and hops, including 70% Pilsner malt, 30% Munich malt and three additions of Bavarian-grown Hallertau Mittelfrueh hops. Hazy gold to light brown in color, Zeller Keller is malty with notes of honey and cereal grains, and a low presence of toasted malt character, with a perceivable but balanced hop presence. At 4.8% ABV and 26 IBU, it is a highly sessionable bier, perfekt for Biergarten season and hot summer days. Prost!" From 2 to 11pm.
