Pig and Swig KC

"Enjoy the best of BBQ, bourbon and bacon at the 4th annual Pig and Swig festival on Saturday. Sights, smells, and flavors of BBQ, bourbon tastings, beer garden, live music, lawn games and more from 3 to 6pm in the Power & Light District." Tickets are $35 dollars for general admission and $65 for VIP. 

5th Annual Socks and Hops

"Join us for the 5th Annual Socks and Hops, a night of craft beer and chef-prepared small bites benefiting our Healthcare for the Homeless Program and Mobile Medical Unit. Enjoy beer from local craft brewers paired with some of the best chefs in KC for a one of a kind evening full of tastes, sips, and community. Please consider bringing new, warm socks to the event for our Healthcare for the Homeless mobile outreach program. We'll distribute them to the homeless individuals we treat in our clinics and on our Mobile Medical Unit." From 7 to 10pm. Tickets start at $45. 

Thanksgiving Day Prep Class at Rye Plaza

"Join us to learn the secrets to a perfect Turkey Day! This class will be hosted by our executive chef John Kennedy, pastry chef Keara, general manager Ryan and bar manager Van. They will show you the ways to perfecting your Thanksgiving Day menu including how to truss a turkey, delicious side dishes, how to make that perfect Pumpkin Pie along with wines that we would pair with the full spread. This class will also include recipes and tips on how we put together our Thanksgiving feast." From 2 to 4pm. Tickets are $90, available here.

Christmas Cookies 101

"Come learn the basics and more! You will leave with 5 beautifully delicious cookies and the skills, recipes and inspiration to decorate your own holiday cookies! Portions of the proceeds go to Drumm Farm Center for Children." Starts at 9am. Tickets are $35.

Lunch with Locals Explores Downtown Kansas City

"Lunch with Locals is for people who love to get the insider's view of a city when they travel. We feature several of the city's most eclectic neighborhoods and festivals throughout the month. During the tour, your host Kiara Watts will guide you through tastings at 2-3 locally owned restaurants mixed with exploring popular hotspots in town and historically significant landmarks. Your lunch tastings will include a selection of drinks and dishes from each restaurant within the duration of the tour. You'll leave with a full belly and knowing more about some amazing local gems in Kansas City." From noon to 3pm. Tickets are $50.

Pumpkin Smashing at Urbavore Farm

"Keep your rotting pumpkins out of the trash and bring them to Urbavore to smash for their hogs to munch on! Let go of any pent up aggression by tossing your pumpkins on the ground, smashing them with the tools we bring, or gently set them aside, if that's not your thing. We will have beer from The Big Rip Brewing Company and cider from KC Cider Co (bring your own cup!) and some light snacks to enjoy." From 2 to 5pm.
