Dinner With Dali at The American
"As part of its popular Concept Series, The American will exhibit 11 works by Salvador Dali from the Hallmark Art Collection, one of the oldest and most enduring corporate art collections in the nation, at a special “Dinner With Dali” event on Friday, Oct. 25. The American Executive Chef Andrew Longres will prepare a four-course dinner featuring dishes inspired by the regions where Dali worked and studied, all paired with wine selections." "We're giving you two nights of Halloween fun at Up-Down. Come out on Friday, October 25th, or Saturday October 26th, for a night of spooky Blood Bag Cocktails, Costumes, Photo Ops, and classic arcade games. "Join us for our biggest event of the year! Cheers to Cheese Fest is a one-of-a-kind cheese and beer pairing festival featuring breweries, cheesemakers and purveyors from around the region. We’ve paired up eight of your favorite breweries with a creamery or cheese shop to create the best beer and cheese pairing imaginable. Pairing entries will be presented to a panel of judges to decide who created the best pairing. We’re excited to welcome as judges: Steph Rupp, a fellow cheese-lover who writes a cheese-focused blog called KC Cheeses, Kasim Hardaway, a Kansas City influencer who knows all things food and drink in the city and Dave Eckert, the Emmy-winner and former host of “Culinary Travels with Dave Eckert” on PBS." "Cafe Trio will host its 16th annual Halloween Costume Ball on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 5 – 11:30 p.m. and each guest who arrives in a full costume will receive a $20 Cafe Trio gift card. The restaurant will also run three costume contests at 5:30, 7:30 and 9 p.m. Three winners from each contest will win Cafe Trio gift cards – $100 to first place, $75 to second place and $50 to third place.
