This week, senior editor Liz Miller joins McGraw Milhaven and Kelly Jackson on KTRS to chat about two concepts to check out in St. Louis.

First, popular barbecue restaurant Salt + Smoke has opened a new location in the Southampton neighborhood. The restaurant is located in the former Mathew's Kitchen space, which more historically was home to Del Pietro's. The space features rustic décor, a huge space and a second-floor dining room and event space. The menu is the same as the Delmar Loop location, featuring barbecue inspired by all different regions in the country including St. Louis, Alabama, Carolina and Texas. A personal favorite of Liz is the burnt ends toasted ravioli.

Next, Piccione Pastry in the Loop has debuted a fun new concept for the holidays: DIY cannoli kits. The bakery is known for its Italian-inspired cannoli, and it is now offering a kit with cannoli shells, filling and toppings so you can build your own cannoli at home. The kits are available to purchase in person at the shop.
