Enjoy a four-course meal highlighting the diverse flavor profiles found across Thailand’s four regions from the family behind King & I and Chao Baan.
The Prapaisilp family gave the city of St. Louis its first taste of Thai cuisine more than 30 years ago with their flagship restaurant, King & I. Since then, the family has expanded the city's culinary horizons with several internationally-focused restaurants and markets in their family of brands. Honoring the impact of Thai heritage on the food scene, the Prapaisilp family and Feast will host a special one-night dining event to celebrate the February issue which highlights all of the flavors of Thailand and its various regions.
Guests will enjoy an informational and delicious evening, celebrating Thai cuisine with a four-course menu comprised of off-menu dishes from the Prapaisilp family’s kitchen in Thailand. Publisher of Feast Magazine, Catherine Neville, will lead an informational Q&A with the family of restaurateurs before dinner. Kick things off with Thai-inspired cocktails at cocktail hour, an interview with Suchin, Sue and Shayn Prapaisilp and a four-course dinner featuring regional dishes from the Northeastern and Southern regions of Thailand, served family-style. The dinner offerings will be:
Laap Tofu + Sticky Rice (vegetarian)
Cocktail Pairing: Plum Old Fashioned
Khao Yam Nam Budu (rice salad with Southern Thai fish sauce)
Third Course: Trio of Regional Tastes
Gaeng Paak (stewed vegetables), Roast Duck Curry, Massaman Curry
