Taqueria Don Pancho

The real star of the menu is the discada, a mixed meat dish popular in northern Mexican states that features beef, pork, chorizo, bacon, ham and sausage – all of which are marinated for 24 hours.

Casual Mexican food is a go-to comfort food for many. If you're looking for standout Mexican cuisine in mid-Missouri, you can't go wrong with the discada special plate at Taqueria Don Pancho in Columbia, Missouri.

The meat blend, from owners Pancho and Francisco Rutiaga's native Durango, Mexican, is an indulgent combination of beef, pork, bacon, sausage, chorizo and ham. You can order the mix in tacos, burritos, quesadillas or pile it on top of nachos, but the special plate is a fan favorite. It comes with a heap of the meat of your choice (in this case, discada), pico de gallo, a side of rice and beans and tortillas of your choice, either corn or flour. Make sure to ask for some of the salsas that the Rutiagas make from scratch, ranging from mild to hot, and the housemade pickled onions.

Taqueria Don Pancho is offering its menu for drive-thru pickup and the staff is taking orders by phone. The taco joint is also offering free delivery for veterans and senior citizens.
