Nachos are often placed in the category of appetizers or snack foods, but there's no reason you can't enjoy a good nacho plate as a full meal. Chips, meat, cheese and often some sort of veggie makes this dish indulgent but certainly filling, especially if done well and with fun ingredients. If you are trying to think outside the box for dinner tonight, we recommend heading to Addison's for the fan favorite Nachos Bianco.
Be warned: These aren't your typical plate of nachos. For starters, classic tortilla chips are replaced by Italian pasta chips. You can then choose your protein of choice: black beans, chicken or chorizo. Addison's then adds kalamata olives, tomatoes, scallions, banana peppers and mozzarella cheese. It might sound like a strange combination, but it all blends together harmoniously when smothered in an Asiago cheese sauce.
Addison's offers two sizes, big and "less big," so you can choose whatever portion you are craving. We won't judge if you order the smaller size plus an entree – or polish off the big one in one sitting.
Addison's is offering its menu for carryout and delivery through GrubHub from its southside location. The downtown location is temporarily closed.
