Beer, burgers and billiards is a classic combination at Billiards on Broadway, but sometimes you just want the meal – especially if you aren't much of a pool player. But a burger at this pool hall is more than just an afterthought, and it has joined the ranks of great burgers in Columbia. If you're looking for takeout tonight in mid-Missouri, we recommend the Billiards Burger from this downtown spot.
The Famous Billiards Burger is made with fresh Midwestern ground chuck and served with green leaf lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles on a toasted sesame seed Kaiser bun, but you can dress up this burger any way you like. You can make it a "small" burger if you don't have much of an appetite, but you can make it a double if you're looking for more. If cheese is key, choose to top yours with American, pepperjack, Cheddar, Swiss, bleu, or a ghost pepper variety. You can also add grilled onions, bacon, sliced ham, homemade chili or beer cheese made with Snapper IPA from Logboat Brewing Co., another Columbia favorite.
If choosing individual toppings is too much for you, go for one of the specialty burgers. Try the Love Story, loaded with ham, bacon bits, Swiss cheese and house-made buttermilk ranch dressing, or The Roomie with jalapeños, pepperjack and onions sauteed in Buffalo sauce. If you are a vegetarian, they even have a black bean burger, so everyone can take home something to make them happy.
Billiards on Broadway is open for limited dine-in service, and it is also offering its menu for curbside pickup.
