Cassady Caldwell of Luvy Duvy's shakes up a mean Hurricane in the classic mode. "Rum, baby. We make our Hurricanes the old-fashioned way," she says. Do try this at home. It's a can't-miss Mardi Pardi maker.

Serves | 1 |

  • ½ oz Cruzan light rum
  • ½ oz Cruzan dark rum
  • equal parts pineapple juice and orange juice to taste
  • splash of grenadine
  • ice
  • 1 oz Cruzan blackstrap rum

| Preparation | Combine light and dark rum, juices and grenadine. Pour over ice and shake until frothy. Strain and pour over ice in a tall glass. Float blackstrap rum over the top.
